Dr. H's Journey So Far...

BUILDING THE FOUNDATION THROUGH EDUCATION

When Dr. Hughes was growing up in the Harlem section of New York City during the prevalence of heroin in the 1970s and the crack cocaine epidemic in the 1980s and 1990s, he witnessed violence, poverty, drug abuse, and police brutality almost on a daily basis. Ralph knew he wanted to get out of his surroundings and make a difference in his community, which meant having self-determination and a good education.

LEADERSHIP THOUGHT-LEADER

Today, Dr. Ralph Hughes is an inspirational leadership speaker, educator, author, and leadership podcast host. He has over 30 years experience and education in leadership. Dr. Hughes was the CEO, president, and  founder of a leadership consulting firm for over ten years. He also taught higher education classes for over 15 years at the University of Phoenix. He held the position of lead faculty area chair for the  College of Criminal Justice for four years and the same position for the College of Humanities and Sciences for two years before the University phased out ground campuses.
